Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the sale of goods through the online store at https://www.oleavitalis.com (the "online store"). Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order you accept these Terms.


1. The parties

The "customer" (also "you") is any person who places an order in the online store. A "consumer" is a customer who is a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Consumers enjoy additional mandatory protections under EU and Estonian consumer law, which these Terms do not limit.


2. Scope and validity of the Terms

These Terms apply to the legal relationship between the customer and the merchant arising from the purchase of goods through the online store. In addition to these Terms, the relationship is governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Estonia and, where the customer is a consumer, by mandatory EU consumer protection law.

We may amend these Terms (see section 13). The version of the Terms in force at the time an order is placed applies to that order.


3. Products

We sell authentic Khan Al Saboun natural cosmetics, including soaps, perfumed and base oils, skincare, hair care and scrubs, handmade in Lebanon and shipped across the European Union.

Because our products are natural and handmade, minor variations in colour, scent, shape, size and weight between individual items and from the photographs shown in the online store are normal and are not defects.

Product information, images and descriptions are provided with care but are indicative. If an item is out of stock, this is shown on the product page; for some products you can ask to be notified when they are back in stock.


4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in euros (EUR) and are final. The merchant is not registered for value added tax (VAT); therefore no VAT is added to or itemised in the price. Prices do not include the delivery fee, which is shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order (see section 5).

You can pay using:

  • Card payments via Stripe - Visa, Mastercard, and Klarna in some countries.
  • Bank-link payments via Montonio - Swedbank, SEB, Luminor, LHV, Coop and other supported banks.

We do not offer PayPal. Payment is taken at the time the order is placed. Payments are processed by our payment service providers; we do not store your full card or bank credentials.


5. How the contract is formed

  1. You select products, add them to the shopping cart, and proceed to checkout.
  2. At checkout you provide your contact and delivery details, choose a delivery method and a payment method, and see the total price including any delivery fee.
  3. By confirming and paying for the order you submit a binding offer to purchase the selected products.
  4. After your order and payment are received, we send an order confirmation to the email address you provided. The sales contract between you and the merchant is concluded when this order confirmation email is sent.

Please check that the details in your order confirmation are correct. If anything is wrong, or you do not receive a confirmation, contact us at info@oleavitalis.com.

If we are unable to fulfil an order (for example, because an item is unexpectedly unavailable), we will inform you and refund any amount already paid for the affected item.


6. Delivery

We deliver across the European Union via parcel machines (Omniva, Itella SmartPOST, DPD) and couriers. You choose the available delivery method at checkout.

  • Standard and parcel-machine delivery is free for orders over EUR 60. For orders of EUR 60 or less, a shipping fee applies; it is shown at checkout before you confirm your order.
  • Delivery times shown in the online store are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by the carrier or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  • Risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to a consumer when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (for example by email to info@oleavitalis.com). You may use the withdrawal form available at /return_form.pdf, but this is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (except for any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer). We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is earlier.

You must send back the goods without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exceptions. The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed after delivery. This applies to certain cosmetic products where the hygiene seal has been opened.

8. Conformity and legal guarantee

The goods we sell must conform to the sales contract. As a consumer, you are entitled to a legal guarantee of conformity of 2 years from delivery under EU and Estonian law. If the goods do not conform, you may be entitled to have them repaired or replaced, or to a price reduction or a refund, in accordance with the applicable law.

Minor natural variations in handmade products (see section 3) are not defects.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the merchant's liability arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter that cannot be limited under mandatory law. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms.


10. Intellectual property

All content in the online store, including text, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, logos and the site design, is protected by intellectual property rights and belongs to the merchant or its licensors. "Khan Al Saboun" and related brand names and marks belong to their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce or use this content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.


11. Personal data

We process your personal data in order to fulfil your order and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy to learn how and why we process your data and what rights you have.


12. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@oleavitalis.com. We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, a consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority in Estonia. Referral to the Consumer Disputes Committee is free of charge for the consumer.

If you live in another EU country, you can find the out-of-court dispute resolution body competent for your case through the European Commission's Consumer Redress Portal.


13. Amendments to the Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our products, our processes or the law. The version in force at the time you place an order applies to that order. We encourage you to review these Terms before each purchase.


14. Governing law and language

These Terms and any contract concluded under them are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. Where the customer is a consumer, mandatory EU consumer protection law and the mandatory law of the consumer's country of residence continue to apply. These Terms are provided in English; other language versions are for convenience only, and in case of conflict the English version prevails.
