Category: Eau De Parfum

Three eighty-five millilitre eaux de parfum composed and bottled in Tripoli: Sakina (Damascus rose and Turkish rose over warm amber), Jawhar (jasmine, saffron, oud), and Faten (oriental floriental with white musk). All three are alcohol-based, projecting longer in the first hour than the oil-based perfumes and shifting through their notes over the day.

How to choose

Choosing the right eau de parfum

Daytime, professional, soft floral
Sakina - Damascus and Turkish rose over warm amber, the quietest of the three
Signature evening scent, oriental
Jawhar - jasmine, saffron and oud, classic Levantine composition
Confident, extroverted floriental
Faten - white musk and floriental on a creamy base, easiest first-wear

Questions

Questions about our eau de parfum

  • What is the concentration?
Eau de parfum strength - between 15% and 20% aromatic compounds dissolved in cosmetic-grade alcohol. That puts the projection somewhere between an eau de toilette (5-15%) and a parfum extract (20-40%). Practically: you will smell the perfume on yourself for six to eight hours and on a sweater for a day or two.
  • Are these the same perfumes sold in the Tripoli shop?
Yes. Sakina, Jawhar and Faten are the three signature Khan Al Saboun eaux de parfum, composed and bottled in Tripoli. We ship from our Tallinn warehouse but the perfumes themselves arrive directly from the production line in Lebanon.
  • How do I choose between them?
Sakina if you want a soft floral with rose at the centre - quieter, daytime-friendly, leans modern. Jawhar if you want a warm oriental with jasmine and oud - signature evening wear. Faten is the most extroverted of the three - white musk and floriental on a creamier base, the easiest to wear straight from the bottle. We send sample sachets with first orders so you can try before committing.
  • Will they last all day?
Six to eight hours on skin for most wearers, longer on the cloth and hair sillage. Apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears, inside the elbows) for the longest projection. Avoid rubbing wrists together after application - the friction crushes the top notes.
  • Safe for the alcohol-free buyer?
No - these are alcohol-based perfumes and would not be suitable for buyers avoiding alcohol on religious or personal grounds. The VIP Royal perfume oils (Sharqiyah and Love Charm) are the alcohol-free option in our catalogue.
