A cold-process olive, coconut and sweet almond oil bar with honey and powdered alum, the mineral salt Levantine households have used for generations. Alum is astringent: the bar leaves skin feeling tightened and very clean, which is why it is used on underarms, knees and elbows rather than the face. Traditionally part of the bride and groom's hammam before a wedding. Follow with a body oil or lotion.

Made by hand in Tripoli

Khan Al Saboun is a family workshop in Tripoli, the old soap city of the Levant. The craft nearly disappeared in the twentieth century; in 1995 the Hassoun family revived it. Olea Vitalis is a genuine retailer: every bottle comes from that workshop and ships from our stock in the EU.
